My name is Halley Bondy. I’m a professional freelance writer, journalist, copy editor, script writer, producer, and mom based in Brooklyn. You can find my articles in NBC News, Medium, The Balance, Business Insider, Daily Beast, DAME Magazine, Eater NY, Bustle, Romper, The Outline, Oxygen, CMT, Scary Mommy, Vice, New York Daily News, MTV, and more. I write scripts for the “Masters of Scale” podcast, and I wrote, researched and narrated an episode of “You Must Remember This.”

I have over 15 years of pro experience. My work has won a Shorty Award for digital content, as well as the Outstanding Playwright award at the Fringe NYC Festival.

I previously worked for major media brands as a senior editor, creative producer, writer, and director while maintaining an active freelance life. Now I’m totally freelance, baby. I also have a baby. She’s awesome.

I write scripts for video, podcasts, and theater - whether it’s editorial, comedy, branded, or “brand-ish.” I write deck and marketing copy, and commercial music, too.

I’ve authored three non-fiction books for middle-graders, including “#MeToo and You.”

I edit job and school applications, articles, screenplays, marketing copy, deck copy, entire books, proposals and more. I take on private clients all the time, and all of them have been happy.

Check out my Testimonials.

I enjoy all topics from arts to tech to parenting to politics to hard news. Nothing right-wing or hate-based.
